Bees Fall Short in Wednesday Matinee against Reno

April 17, 2024 - The Salt Lake Bees came up short in Wednesday's matinee against the Reno Aces, dropping their fifth game in a row in a back-and-forth affair by a final of 6-4. After a quiet first couple of innings, the two teams started throwing punches back and forth in the game's middle innings. The Aces jumped on the board first in the top of the third thanks to a ground-rule double from Pavin Smith, but the Bees answered back in the bottom half of the frame with a double of their own off the bat of Hunter Dozier to drive home two. Bees Drop Series Opener to Reno

April 17, 2024 - The Salt Lake Bees dropped the first game of their homestand against the Reno Aces on Tuesday, falling in a wire-to-wire loss by a final score of 5-1. The Aces came out of the gates strong against Bees starter Andrew Wantz, tagging the righty for three quick runs and chasing him from the game after just two innings of work. They kept things going against the Salt Lake bullpen as well, adding a run apiece against relievers Ryan Miller and Kenyon Yovan in the fourth and seventh innings respectively to extend their advantage... Late Salt Lake Comeback Falls Just Short

April 14, 2024 - The Salt Lake Bees fell into an early hole and could not climb out, falling 7-6 to the Las Vegas Aviators on Sunday afternoon. With the loss the Bees and Aviators split their six-game series at three games apiece. Bees starting pitcher Zach Plesac gave up home runs to the first two Las Vegas batters as part of a three-run first inning for the Aviators, the first runs allowed in the first inning by Salt Lake this season. Las Vegas Takes Down Salt Lake Saturday

April 14, 2024 - The Las Vegas Aviators took down the Salt Lake Bees 9-5 on Saturday night. It was an up-and-down outing for Bees starter Kenny Rosenberg who joined Mark Redman and Jered Weaver as only the third pitcher in franchise history to have three games with 10 or more strikeouts in their Salt Lake career. Along with the 10 strikeouts however, the Aviators touched up Rosenberg for seven hits and six runs over his five innings of work giving him his first loss of the season.
