2 Former Rockets Help University of Alberta Golden Bears Win 2018 U SPORTS Cavendish Farms University Cup

March 18, 2018 - Former Kelowna Rockets forwards Tyson Baillie and Cole Linaker are a part of the University of Alberta Golden Bears team that erased another two goal deficit, defeating the St. FX X-Men 4-2 in the 2018 University Cup Final, to win their 16th National Championship in program history. This is the third University Cup title for Alberta in five years, after winning back-to-back titles in 2014 and 2015. Rockets crush Vancouver in Regular Season Finale

March 18, 2018 - The Kelowna Rockets closed out the 2017-2018 regular season with an 8-1 win over the Vancouver Giants on Saturday night at Prospera Place. With just over five minutes to play in the first frame Libor Zabransky(2) opened the scoring with a nice snap shot that beat Giants goaltender Trent Miner low on the blocker side. Kelowna led 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. 6:16 into the middle frame Leif Mattson(24) made it 2-0 Rockets. Rockets Dispatch Vancouver 5-2

March 17, 2018 - The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Vancouver Giants 5-2 on Friday night in Langley. Midway through the opening frame Carsen Twarynski scored his team leading 44th of the season and the Rockets 16th shorthanded marker of the season. Three minutes later Twarynksi(45) scored a power play marker to give Kelowna a 2-0 lead. With 1:29 remaining in the period Gordie Ballhorn(6) made it a 3-0 game and that was the score after 20 minutes of play.
