April 16, 2024 - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Tuesday, the football club has signed a pair of Americans including defensive back Shakur Brown and defensive lineman Derrick Tangelo. Brown, 25, originally signed with the National Football League's Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent (2021) and spent time with the Kansas City Chiefs (2021), Detroit Lions (2021) and Tennessee Titans (2022). April 12, 2024 - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced Friday, the football club has signed defensive lineman Jason Lewan. Lewan, 25, most recently spent time with the San Antonio Brahmas of the United Football League (2024) after signing in the National Football League with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent (2023). April 6, 2024 - Veteran offensive lineman Chris Van Zeyl announced his retirement from football today, after 15 seasons in the Canadian Football League. The Fonthill, Ontario native suited up in 36 regular season games and seven playoff games over his four seasons in Hamilton (2019-23) and helped the Tiger-Cats reach back-to-back Grey Cups in 2019 and 2021.
