Komets Snag Kelly Cup Champ Goalie Lukas Hafner

Fort Wayne, IN - The Komets announced Monday that they have added two players to the 2018-19 preseason roster. Goaltender Lukas Hafner has agreed to terms and becomes the first goalie to be added to the roster. Also center Kevin Miller has signed for the upcoming campaign. Hafner, 26, completed three years of juniors in 2011-12 appearing in 48 games with Cornwall in the CCHL, leading the league with a 2.11 goals-against average and a league-best .929 save percentage earning a spot on the CCHL Second all-Star Team. TinCaps End Road Trip with Shutout Win

PEORIA, Ill. - The TinCaps shut out the Peoria Chiefs (St. Louis Cardinals), 4-0, on Monday afternoon at Dozer Park to conclude their six-game road trip. Fort Wayne (13-12, 45-49) snapped a four-game losing skid behind the brilliant pitching of starter Osvaldo Hernandez and relievers Dylan Coleman and Travis Radke. This was the team's sixth shutout victory of the season, and third of the month. Hernandez, 20, went six innings. San Antonio Erupts in the Sixth to Beat Midland 9-3

A six-run, sixth-inning rally broke open a tie game and lifted San Antonio to a 9-3 win over Midland Monday afternoon at Wolff Stadium. After getting blanked in Sunday's series opener, the RockHounds started better Monday, plating a pair of first-inning runs against righty Jesse Scholtens courtesy of a Seth Brown RBI-single and a wild pitch.
